Foot infection from the weather

Our feet hold the entire human body and are over used at times so much that it can lead to several complications to not just the feet but to the overall body. Foot diseases are not uncommon and can occur to almost anyone irrelevant of age. One of the most important things to keep in mind when dealing with your feet is their hygiene.
Most people do not bother to take care of their feet which include the ankles, nails and the soles. While swelling of the feet is an indicator, it is often neglected and ignored. Foot diseases also arise due to changing climatic or weather conditions. As the weather gets cold and chilly, chilblains is a common disease that infects the feet. The feet get swollen and redness appears all over them. Another noticeable symptom is the irritable itch which only worsens the entire condition. It is advisable to wear thick woollen socks as they provide warmth and they keep the blood circulation flowing.
Similarly during high humidity the feet tend to get damp especially in between the toes. This is ideal for a fungal infection and if not given urgent attention could trouble you for a long time. Fungal infections need to be given treatment as they tend to spread and grow. Therefore it is essential that the feet are cleansed and dried properly in order to avoid the accumulation of moisture.
