The feet deserve equal attention

Appropriate personal hygiene is extremely essential and not just for the hands and feet but the overall body. Bad hygiene invites diseases that are mostly caused by fungal infections. The feet require equal attention and care as they hold the entire body weight and activities like running, walking and jumping require the feet to be healthy and strong.

Bad choice of footwear can also ruin the feet, like shoes that are too tight. If the footwear is tight then the foot gets cramped and deprived of freshly circulated blood. Scrubbing the feet daily can help in removing dead tissue and skin. The area between the toes is the most sensitive part of the foot as it attracts dust, moisture and sweat.

All these things eventually infect your feet with fungal infections. To avoid such infections, the feet should be washed properly and dried completely. Talcum powder or foot powders can be applied to keep the area dry and clean. The feet can also be soaked in warm water for relaxing and de-stressing.

Hot water treatments are ideal for maintaining healthy circulation of blood and oxygen.
The toenails are also cleaned thoroughly during this process. Cracked heels can be reduced with the help of oil treatments. Most infections are contracted in public places like gymnasiums and swimming pools. Therefore, it is only wise to be more careful and hygienic at such places.
